The GIAC Arbitration Rules reflect the needs of the parties combining recent developments in the field.


GIAC Board and Arbitration Council Meeting

On June 8, 2018 in “Tbilisi Marriot” Hotel a join meeting of the GIAC Board and Arbitration Council was held. 

The meeting was opened by the Chairperson of the Board and the President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Nino Chikovani.

After the welcome speech, the Secretary General of the GIAC made presented the annual report of the GIAC and introduced the Agenda to the GIAC Board and Arbitration Council members. 

During the meeting two important documents were adopted by the Board. First is the Standard to Admission to Arbitrators List and its Administration Rule, which establishes the minimum requirements for the adoption to the list. 

The second document is  the Procedural Rules of Georgian International Arbitration Centre when it is acting as an appointing authority.

Finally, the Arbitration Council reviewed the candidates applications for the adoption to the GIAC Arbitrators List.
