GIAC and ICC Young Arbitrators Forum hosted a panel discussion on International Arbitration

On June 29, the Georgian International Arbitration Centre, in partnership with ICC Young Arbitrators Forum and with generous support of Hogan Lovells, hosted a hybrid event – in-person in Tbilisi and online.

The event was held in Rooms Hotel Tbilisi. It united external counsels, in-house counsels, government attorneys, business professionals, students, and more.

The topic of the panel discussions included many aspects of arbitrator selection process, and the concrete steps parties can take to make sure that a suitable tribunal is constituted.

This was followed by a lively debate on whether the emergence of fast-track procedures is a welcome development in international commercial arbitration.

The event was followed up by the cocktail reception by BLC Law Office.
