27.03.2019GIAC TO LAUNCH THE COMMERCIAL MEDIATION SERVICE
On the meeting with the various business sectors, held on 27th of March, the Secretary General of the GIAC announced the launch of the commercial mediation service. Sopho Chachava, the prominent Georgian mediator and expert in the field will lead this project. GIAC will establish a working group to elaborate institutional Rules on Mediation.
With the recent developments in the field, mediation is becoming more popular in the country. GIAC is planning to offer mediation this fall in addition to arbitration to its users. In the meantime, GIAC will continue raising awareness in both arbitration and mediation through series of planned meetings.
GIAC is devoted to development of the alternative dispute resolution. With addition of mediation to the spectrum of services it offers, GIAC continues to be in tune with the recent developments in the country.
