Beka Injia
Beka Injia holds the position of the Secretary General of the Georgian International Arbitration Centre since 2014. With his leadership GIAC has become a leading arbitration centre in the region. Mr. Injia is one of the leading experts in the field of Dispute settlement in the Country.
For more than 6 years he was the legal director in Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Injia has previously worked both in public and in private sector. His professional experience includes positions at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, where he was advisor in a division of State Representation in Arbitration and foreign Courts. He also worked in ministry of Finances. For number of years he was the General legal counsel of one of the largest Real Estate Development Company in Georgia.
He serves as an arbitrator and mediator. He is a member of supervisory boards of various corporations.
Mr. Injia has been the member of various working groups and committees created with the aim of reforming the existing Georgian Legislation in the field of Arbitration and dispute settlement.
Mr. Injia holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law from Tbilisi State University, as well as an LL.M in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from a joint program of the Geneva University Law School and the Graduate Institute of international and Development Studies, in Geneva, Switzerland, also The Hague Academy of International Law.
Mr. Injia frequently participates in a number of international and local workshops, conferences as a speaker. He is an invited lecturer at several Universities in Georgia.
