GIAC ARBITRATION DAYS 2020
GIAC is holding GIAC Arbitration Days since 2014 in Tbilisi, which was the main arbitration event in Georgia and in the whole region.
However, due to the pandemic, GIAC decided not to hold the event in person and change the format of the GIAC Arbitration Days, shifting to an online platform.
In the framework of the GIAC Arbitration Days 2020, the series of online events will be held throughout October and November.
The first event of the above-mentioned series was a joint webinar of YICCA and GIAC on “How to Work Effectively with Local Counsel, In-House Counsel, Fact Witnesses, and Experts” which was held on 23 of October.
The panel members, Laurie Achtouk-Spivak (Counsel, Cleary Gottlieb, Paris), Sandro Bibilashvili (Partner, BGI Legal, Tbilisi), Nata Ghibradze (Senior Associate, Hogan Lovells, Munich), and Anna Kozmenko (Partner, Schellenberg Wittmer, Zurich) discussed the best practices for working with the local counsel, in-house counsel and fact witnesses and experts.
The upcoming events will also be interesting and dedicated to hot topics in international commercial and investment arbitration.
The main aim of the GIAC and GIAC Arbitration Days respectively is to develop arbitration in Georgia and establish Georgia as a regional hub.
