GIAC Arbitration Days 2024
The eleventh edition of Arbitration Days, the key professional event in the field, was held in Tbilisi. The event was organized, as always, by the Georgian International Arbitration Centre (GIAC) and this year was supported financially by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with local and international law firms. The conference brings together lawyers and practicing experts interested in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods. Each year, participants exchange the latest developments and challenges in the field. This year’s event was attended by approximately 170 local and international arbitrators, judges, lawyers, and representatives from the academic community.
Held on October 10-11, the two-day event featured panel discussions on topics such as: alternative dispute resolution methods, the role of corporate lawyers in arbitration, differences and specificities of legal systems and cultures in arbitration, cost reduction in arbitration: strategies for accessible dispute resolution, global and regional sanctions in international arbitration, and women's involvement in arbitration.
